If YOU like it, that's all that matters... BTW, Another way to get a dulled finish besides all the rubbing would be to take them and have them blasted with the proper media which would produce a dull, uniform finish. I'm not saying to have them sand blasted as that is too aggressive, I'm thinking a softer media. Something to consider anyway. Like you said "No going back".

Zomb, if your camera has a 'macro' setting, use that. It will allow you to take close up pics that are nice and detailed. You might have a button on your camera with a tulip (yes, the flower, LOL) icon above it. That will enable macro

I can tell how it looks by the first pic. I think it looks badass, and it definitely looks antiqued! Nice job!

Hmm.. after you scotch brite it, couldn't you spray it with a flat base clear coat to protect the finish from rust?? Im just guessing.... I really dont know anything about clear coats and paint...lol

Great idea - I forgot all about that. Saw a thread on another forum once where a guy built a homemade blaster that uses baking powder as the media. Worked great to strip parts, etc and I wouldn't be surprised if it wouldn't knock the gloss off chrome.

I'm sorry, I used scotch brite not brillo. I will get better pics, I was using the cell phone. I think gettin pics in the sun will help.

I took some pics in the sun. My camera sucks, sorry guys. I appreciate the comments. I just wanted to do something I havent seen anyone do yet. Call it gutsy or maybe stupid. lol. I am liking the look though.
