Question Feels like I am riding a Singer Glide....

Clachety Clachety Clachety Clachety Clachety Clachety.....

Driving me mad!! How do you get rid of or reduce the sewing machine noise?

Do i use a heavier weight oil in the tranny, is there a tweak, adjustment or mod I can do??

Bike runs fine, just sounds bloody dreadful. TIA.

Singer used to make a good product ... I think they've gone down hill since Harley purchased their subsidiary.

I run Mystik JT8 and I only hear a hint of the Clachety Clachety Clachety, but then again most people have to repeat what they're sayin when speaking to me

Between my loud pipes and tinnitus it's not a problem I'm aware of.

I know I'll catch some jazz about this but I've only been wrenching for a living for 45+ years so be nice. Put in about 4oz of good old fashion STP or Lucas oil stabilizer. My bike is just coming up on 101k and still doing fine. It will quiet the engine right down, may not stop all of it but it will be much easier to live with. And if you're not happy you can just change the oil to rotella 20-50 dino

Are you sure you're talking about putting it in the trans? Most sewing machine noise comes from the valve train, not the tranny

Ride faster. The wind will take care of it.
