For those doing any mods to a rear fender that will require painting, this is a mod you should consider.

Now that I have had it for several months I can say it has been a huge benefit especially for someone like me that changes between 2up and solo seats. I tapped them for 5/16x18 threads and use these bolts for a clean look.

I just pulled my bob fender off. I have it and a r6c side mount light/plate combo. there are pictures of it in my garage. 150.00 shipped

To make the wiring work, you just need the '09 harness. Once you get the plug that goes into the back of the tail light, you can dyke the wires and solder everything. My bike is a little different than your stock american harleys. Although I am american, my harley was bought over here in the UK from a UK dealer. Hence the 5HD in the VIN instead of the 1HD. My wiring is a bit different, but I can help you out if you need it. It's not that hard.

the 09 is probably wider, but you could use spacers between the frame struts and the fender.
