You can do the standard punch out of the disc in the mufflers. Some people completely punch it out, some just drill holes of various sizes. Personally, I drilled a 1/2 hole in my discs which gives me just a little more sound but would still pass a "nightstick" test.
Basically, just pull your muffler and look down it. You'll see a disc in the middle. You'll need a 12" bit or a standard bit and a 6" bit extension. I use a socket extension and a center punch to mark a center point. If you're using a bit extension, you can do the standard pilot hole/step up to target diameter.
Be sure to have someone hold the muffler tightly. I don't recommend using a vice because you can crush the sidewall. I do recommend that your holder use a rubber strap wrench. It will make the holding easier.
Oh, you won't require any fuel/engine adjustments for just pipe changes.
