Default Chrome housings & diamondback cables

Considering adding some chrome to the bars ('06 Low Rider) and wanted to get some input.

a. How would you compare the real chrome master cylinder / clutch bracket (higher $$) vs. the chrome covers (low $$)? Is there a big difference in visual appearance?

b. Does anyone have the Diamondback cables? How are they? DO they yellow?

Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I've had the cables for a year now, no yellowing. If you're going to do job...do it right, chome master cylinder is the way to go. I went with swith housings and switches too.

I've seen the covers that HD offers and they really are nice quality. I wouldn't hesitate going with them and the chrome switch housings at all. However, I will say, I think the the chrome master cylinder actually looks a little better but it's twice the price. Either way, you can't go wrong. Good luck.

I was told by a local HD parts person that if you put Sun Screen on the cables after washing this will stop them from yellowing.

Mine haven't yellowed after a year and a half and my buddies are about 3 years old and his haven't yellowed. As far as the cover vs. the real thing...go with the real thing. If you get the cover, you will eventually want the real thing making it that much more expensive. My biggest issue with the cover is it looks huge and out of proportion up there on the bars.

As you can see, I need a nice polished stainless banjo bolt to finish it off, but you get the idea. And yes, the weeds look terrible in that picture, but I have sent them to the happy weed place so they aren't a nuisance anymore.
