Default Tar Snakes

You implied you have Michelin tires on your bike...I have Michelins and don't have trouble with tar snakes anymore. Change tires...

I am having the same issues now with the higher temps. Last bike had Avons on it. I am suspecting the tires as well. Will know for sure soon when I change them out.

Yeah, I hate those tar strips. Kind of like a mini slip and slide. Don't know if a change of tires would help. Maybe.

Even whitelines felt like sliding sideways with My old Dunlops. Now with metzeler solid as a rock.

Worse when it's hot, but those skinny Dyna tires don't help

Same here - but when I switched to a metz 110 up front makes'em almost a non-issue.

Yeah, tires are brand new Michelin Scorchers 100/90 19 and 160/70 17. 2 months old with just 2700 miles on them so I wouldn't think they'd be the problem. At least I hope not, cause I love the way they feel at all other times. Front end seems the most un-nerving, Even at slow speeds it feels like the forks are trying to go in different directions when they hit.

Not being smart, but maybe you're 'white-knuckling' the grips when you see the 'snakes' coming. That can contribute to the problem.

The Metzeler is a softer compound than the stock Dunlop. More traction over the tar snakes. I still prefer my Dunlop for it's durability.
