Default Stock '06 SG Handlebar Part# ?

.... So .... does anyone have this part#. I've been to 2 dealers so far and got a different number from each. After researching, the 1st number I was given was a stock 883 bar. The second number ( form a diff dealer) was 56102-99. The numbers from Harley's chart dont match what I get with a tape measure. What gives? Anyone know the true number or dimensions?

Many thanks ....

I dont need the bars themselves .... just the correct dimensions. I'm going to add bars soon and would like to get 2" of pullback without using 2"risers ..... dont want my speedo angle changing.

Thanks all ...

I have the same problem on my '07 FXD. I want a much flatter bar with less rise and pullback, without interfering with the speedo.

One dealer said the stock FXD bar was 56038-05, which is a Sporty bar.

Another dealer said it was 56102-99, but I don't see how that can be right. The chart says 11.75" for the base width, but mine measures only about 8.5".

Is the '07 FXD handlebar that different from the '06?

I'm thinking about trying a Sportster bar, part # 56082-83. It seems like it might work, assuming it has the wiring dimples. Am I nuts?

The 2007 CVO screaming eagle Dyna has pull back bars with a speedometer mount built in. it has the proper angle. there should be a part number at the HD dealership now.
it looks very similar to my bombay bars but it also has a speedometer mount in addition to the tach mount.

I don't think you are nuts. I think your choice would be too narrow for me. I run the XR-1000 bend 56085-83T. If you have the HD accessory catalog you can see my bars as compared to the sportster bend.

Been a while since I wrote this one!!

I've gone to 3.5" straight risers since this post ...

And am now waiting to install my new mini-apes ... Getting my hands higher and my posture more upright in the saddle is the only way I'm going to be comfortable on long rides. And come Spring I WILL be making some long rides!!

Oh, man! That looks perfect! I had actually written down that number as an alternate, in case the shorter one doesn't work..

I see you didn't have to relocate the turn signals.

What about the brake line? It looks like the stock one... Did you have to change it?

I'm assuming it has the wiring dimples?

Oh, and PsTaN, I've got to reduce the pullback... my arms are just too long for either the ape hangers or the stock buckhorns... I'm built like an ape, but the apes won't work for me...
