Don

Just unbolt your shocks bottom bolt and lift bike with jack. you will have plenty of room to work with.

No, you don't have to remove the wheel, though you will have to jack the bike up so the wheel drops to provide clearance for the bolt to slide out. Worst case you have to unhook the shocks so the wheel/tire lowers further.

As far as accessing the bolt, just use an open end wrench and be careful - if you get sloppy you can smack the wrench against the edge of the fender and chip the paint. You might also be able to get in there with a 1/4" rachet and short socket, but I prefer the open end.

You have any close up pics?

Or cut the bolt in half with a die grinder like this lazy a## did!

I changed out my HD relo kit with the one from great bikes. pretty simple deal. Thanks for the advice on jacking up the rear.

I also switched to a smoke lens with integrated turn signals that works well. but had to change out the connectors inside. These are LEDs so hope they do not get toohot and melt lens as I had read some others do. Yes, I know I need to change the turn signals to smoke. But dealer was out so will wait til I hit the states in August.

Some pics, but not so great. Pretty much the same as above. I like how they bring the sigs closer to the plates, and look much sturdier.

Here's how it looks on my bike:

You'll find all the kits over here: http://www.greatbikegear.com/product...s/eb-TSDNA.htm

I have the kit that comes as one piece that easy bracket makes part number TSDNALD - 01C . After waiting 2 weeks for it and then I had it on the bike for two weeks when my buddy says hey your plate and signals are really vibrating - its a FXD (LOL).

Turns out the left side cracked. Now I gotta deal with the un-wiring and uninstalling. Or maybe just try some JBL weld.

Well there's way worse things...

George
