I may want some chrome

Chrome adds a margin of safety because you can be seen much better at night.
One huge benefit you have is that there's TONS of chrome take-offs from everybody blacking out their bikes, so you should find some bargains.

I've been thinking a lot lately about adding some chrome to my bike. This is pretty much against how I wanted my bike to look when I first got it but the more I think about it the more I want to do it. I only want to do some on the engine. Basically the HD chrome engine kit. Rocker boxes, cam cover, transmission covers, and outer primary. Everything else will stay black. Am I nuts, do you guys think it would look good or am I messing with something for no reason. Opinions needed and welcomed.
If you did add some chrome, I would do either the rear shock spring or the upper and lower covers, the rocker covers, the front fork seal covers and the bezel on the Head lamp. Just subtle changes.

Lots of opinions on this subject, just like I thought there would be. I'll probably end up leaving it anyways, don't have the money to drop on parts now anyways but just bored so I've been thinking. Another idea I've been kicking around is powdercoating my outer primary cover gloss black but I don't know if I want to much more gloss. What I really need is another bike so I stop messing with this one!
