LOL...didn't spend three days rubbing the scratch. I wiped the area for just a minute or two and within about three days it was gone.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

Spray with WD40 - should help hide it.

micro fiber and water works for me as well. rub it a little and forget it, couple days later if it still shows do it again. Sounds weird but it works.

I have a scuff for a year from a car backing into it, I used some spit and my thumb but gave up after 7 seconds. It gives my bike some character.

If you decide to try and rub it out, be careful. If you rub too much it will polish/shine the paint and then you are screwed (don't ask me how I know).

Nice shiney spot on the tank of my Street Rod...
