not to change the subject but are those the HD distressed leather bags? I have seen them on some other bikes and i gota say they are some of the best looking bags on a dyna. are they quick detach or hard mount? Nice looking bike by the way.

They are just the plain black, directly bolted to the bike. I originally bought the distressed bags but when up next to the vivid black fender they were just too brown for my liking, so I just exchanged them. I also didn't like how far out from the bike the quick detach system set the bags. They are only bolted on with 4 bolts and can be quickly removed if necessary but likely to stay attached most of the time. Here's a shot of how close they mount to the fender.

did you cut the bags to form fit around the signals or did they come like that? also nice looking turn signal reloc. I welded one up sorta like that for my SB.

No cutting required as they sit behind the bags. The kit is from Greatbikegear and I like it but took a little modification (drilling out the bolt holes to a larger size) but like the way it turned out.

It does look good, for some reason the pictures you posted from the rear make it look like the bags are cut to the lights, maybe the reflection in the chrome or somethin.

I've had the same bags on my Fat Bob for two years. (Mine are a bit further from the fenders, using the standard HD mounting, fixed; this is my only vehicle, they stay on all the time.)

I'm VERY happy with them.

I know Harley has one. Looking at it for mine. Unfortunately the braces are polished instead of black, which would match better. It is a quick-release system.
