Default 06 Wide Glide Buying advice needed. Pipes/SERT

I Have a left over 06 FXDWGI lined up at a NY dealer. He recomends V&H Big Shot stagered, SE A/C ,SERT [ Race tuner] and a dyno to set her up.
The dealer is not doing the DYNO.
The Bike is Blue, but he has a set of NEW take off "BLACK tins [ I want a black one]
Questions
Is the SERT the best way to go [ I don.t plan to do any internal egine mods] Maybe a Siked A/C later on.
I might rip out the Baffels and use lolly pops.
What does a DYNO tune go for in NY Long Island ?

His offer is 13,500 OUT the DOOR with my 2004 1200 C sporty in trade [ 4100 miles] stock save the samson pipes, re-jet, and SEII A/C.

My bike was blasted real bad [ with me on it] about 6 months ago. This dealer did the re- build on her.
I really want a it, but like to push for a bit more.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Vinnie

Hey bud, sounds like a great deal to me.
I got mine in April and have added the V&H Big Shot's and the Doherty air cleaner with a SERT.I know the SERT is a bit of overkill but wanted to tune it and not have to buy something else should I decide to do more in the future.
That Air cleaner is expensive but worth it in my opiniion. It allows me to use an S&S desporado oval cover and runs real nice with the canned map.I am working on a new one.
Go with a baffle in the pipe if you can.Mine are plenty loud enough, trust me.
Seems a dyno tune will run around $250 or so I hear.
good luck

Get the SERT......it can be retuned for any future mods over and over...

Just put the big shots on my 06 (was also a leftover) last Friday and I love them. I got the SE AC, but got a power commander instead of the SERT. I am going to dyno it when I get my 1k service. Good luck. You will love the WideGlide!

Sounds like a good deal to me! But the pipes depends on what YOU like. I put the V & H Short Shots on mine.

I was origionally going to go with the Big Radius pipes or the short shots.
The dyno guy informed me that they both are hard to get a proper tune with pipes that short. The longer V&H pipes offer better performance than do the shorter versions with the fuel injection system. Not sure how they react with the carb.I have Supertrapps 2/1 SS pipes on my FXRS but it has a carb.

CRAP
I missed out on the deal. They sold it the next day while I was getting it past the "War Deptartment".
Now I gotta wait untill at least december for an 07. And then not sure if I can get the stealer to do the V&H pipes.
Side not
I was reading in AIM [september issue] that for the money and simplicity the Power commander is better than a SERT.
I don't plan on doing any internal engine mods.
Thanks Guys
