I'm fancying some new footpegs for my 2010 Fat Bob. Why is it when browsing on the HD website, many pegs say not for 2008 later FXDF.

Not that i'd buy these but hese are typical

Why would these fit on a 2010 Wide glide but not the Fat Bob? The pegs are in the same place. Is there any good reason they say not for FXDF?

 

I've wondered the same myself. I'm sure that mechanically they'll fit so I'm guessing that there may be some safety reason HD is discouraging their use.

I've been known to drag my pegs every now and again. Perhaps these stick out further and would compound the problem.

 

I don't think you'll have a problem. If you look at the pics of the custom Fat Bobs on HD's web site you can see that they have pegs on them that are listed as not for Fat Bob's in the accessories section.
