I've been checking out different fork assy's for possible grafting onto my 07 Dyna in an effort to get better handling and dual (or better) brakes. One of the wide glide forks I looked at (can't remember if it was on a Dyna or a Softail) had about 4 degrees of rake built into the yokes. If yours is this fork, by shortening it you change (reduce) the trail as well as the wheelbase and mass center. These changes could serve to reduce the stability of the bike under acceleration.

I`ve got a Harley Davidson 2003 Roadking. i have a bad wobble in it ,at 55 to 60 you can barely feel it but if you get up to 70mph and let off the gas you better hang on.i all so get it if i get into a right hand curve, but not lift. if i`m behind a car your truck the wobble get worst. CAN SOMEONE HELP?

 

One thing that does come to mind now...check your steering stem nut for proper torque.
