I made mine fit without spending too much money...bought a different seat and had a guy make me two black powdercoated brackets that brought the forward controls up and back about an inch and a half....fits like a glove now.

I bought a Mustang Duke regal seat for my Fat Bob...and it took me a few days to get used to it from the stock seat. Now, it fits like a glove. I sit a tad higher and a tad more forward, but it works out perfect since it came with forward controls. I sit in a position where it's almost like "this is is how they should have designed it." It has a thinner width also, so a 30" inseam should fit alot more naturally then with the wider stock seat. Give the dif seats an option, it's a great bike!

It is disappointing that HD didn't seem to have actually ridden the FB before putting it into production. They couldn't have or the test rider would have pointed out that your right leg doesn't fit around the A/C and onto the peg and if you do get it on then your foot falls off the end of the peg at speed - oh and you can't reach the brake anyway. Dumb. It can be fixed by why should you have to?

For me the fix was a switch to a slimmer A/C and footboards.

I had the same problem with my right leg and the air cleaner. Inside of my knee was hitting the air cleaner. I'm only 5 foot 8. I would think it would be even more of a problem for big guys. The Forcewinder fixed that problem though.

Anyone have a pic of their Bob with mini-floorboards on?

I just got a 2010 Fat Bob and also have a 30" inseam. I bought an HD Reach seat which is supposed to push you forward 1 inch. It's in the mail, so we'll see how it fits. Also, you can lower the front end 1" if you're tip toeing at the stop lights. From what I understand, the rear end is already 1" lower on the 2010 than on the 2009.

I also have a 30in inseem. I put on a Danny Gray seat which helped quite a bit. I also put a Burley Slammer kit on it as well. The Burley allows me to get flat footed with no issues and also improves the look IMO.

Thanks guys ,it wasn't being flat footed being the issue. When my feet were on the pegs the seat and tank I think were just to wide. Really had to keep my knees spread and my feet were almost vibrating off the pegs. The Ducati just got sold today and that money is just burning a hole in my pocket. I just want to make the right decision this time.

Get the FB. I put an Arlen Ness Big Sucker on mine, with Kuryakyn stirrups. I also have a stock SuperGlide solo seat on mine. It sits lower than the FB stocker. The bike feels like an extension of myself now. I am 5'8".

I also have a 30in inseam and i love my Fat Bob, brought my brake pedal up a bit and all is well. I do agree about the feet pretty much falling off the pegs on the highway so i bought some switch blade pegs that have a flip out heel rest for highway riding and now have no issues!
