Default how much left in the tank after the light comes on?

I did a quick search and did not find anything, so how about it... How much fuel is left in the tank after the reserve light comes on? (2010 WG)

And how accurate is the "miles until empty" reading on the display?

Someone here mentioned had about 1 gal left, just fill it up when light comes up, 06 FXDI tank takes 4.8 gal to the rim.

the way i heard it it varies, me i am a bit of a rev head so i use a lot of fuel, my bike takes this into account (average on each tank) and adjust what it thinks i can do.

So what happens is when i go for a long run and I am just cruising with the pack i get better fuel mileage and hence it will say i can go further on the same amount of fuel.

funny really but once i understood that i am happy if its a long way between fuels ups I just take it easy.

My Wide had about a gallon when the light came on. After my tank lift, the light comes on sooner.

I'm very curious...how do you see that option? My '07 doesn't have that.

Last time I filled up the range said 13mi. left. Only could get about 4 gal. in on a 5 gal. tank. Doesn't look like they're that accurate but at least it's an error on the side of more gas than not enough.

im right up there as well. depending on how your bike is running, and how you run it..
id say about 1/4 gallon is about right...

i wouldnt risk running around guessing you have about 12 mtz on your ride tho...

im not a fan of MOCO mathamatics.

I have had mine down to 6 miles to empty and the 5 gallon tank took 4.4 gal. It seems pretty close, miles to empty does adjust as you are riding, it can actually go up. On long staight roads I have seen it go up. I think I have read it come on at .8 gallons.
