at idle - bike runs and vibrates the way i expect. right around 2k it is really really rough and them it smooths right out. entire bike vibrates dramatically right around 2k whether in neutral or riding - it feels very normal under and over that rpm range.

is this ok?

I recently had a vibration problem, and it was loose motor mounts. It couldn't hurt to check and see if they need tightening, or possibly even shimmed.

 

thx smoke. aleady replced the front one. it helped significatly at idle. this is a much more substantial low end type vibtration.

 

Still makes me think mounts. Is it vibration or running rough?

 

vibration. only around that rpm. feels real deep, like crankshaft. probably normal, took it out today for a few hours and it really runs great. its just this little nuance.

 

How is the carb tuned... I had this problem and I fixed it. Is your vacuum hole drilled out in the slide? what has been done to the carb?
