I bought a take-off seat from an '09 Bob ... guess don't ask me for a recommendation on a comfortable seat ... mostly I just dug the looks ....

I think after a couple of years, either I'm starting to break in the goose down filler in it ... or my hind quarters are beginning to conform to the hard shell ...!

Didn't have to spend 300-400 either, my good friend Tige (tweakin) gave it away for a miserly $50 ....

Good luck finding a comfortable seat ... seems to be a lot of threads on the subject ....

I got 2" risers and stock bars so I didn't have to change cables or anything- it took me maybe 30-40 mins to put them on without any help. It feels pretty good- I wish they were a couple of inches higher haha. Anywho.... Can you recommend any good seat for long rides? I don't have 300-400 laying around so any other suggestions would be great. Also... how do you guys deal with backrest on long trips?

Thank yoouuuu

I bought the Mustang wides with the conchos and stuff for $235 from eBay. As for your back support, they do offer the same seat with that option, but you are going to cross the $300 mark.

Default 6ft 265lbs of well BS

OK I am 6ft 265 and I just removed my forwards and reinstalled mids as I hated forwards. 36 Inseam and still hated forwards. So I sold the forwards and spent the extra dough on a new set of 12 Z bars, grips, and a new f brake line. And a 12 pack of Bud Light

I'm 6'4, 230lbs and put 3" extended forwards on my WG as well as a Danny Gray seat. On my old WG I had 2" forwards and had my badlander redone by Mean City Cycles to move me back as far as possible.

Hey there Polish bud ;-) I'm sorry I asked you that dumb Q about HD dealers in Poland - There are a few.. but damn the prices are RIDICULOUS! Over $16k for my Bob! Yikes... Anywho- Doesn't Wide Glide have different risers that SB tho? You know the built in ones... so I don't have that much room to mess around with the bars.

On the other note.. I looked at Tallboy seat, but it says it actually puts you up 2", which I'm not too crazy about.

Do you have a pic of you on the bike with mids? Aren't your legs super cramped?

I'm 6'4" and 215 atm,I added the forwards right away in 02,the mid controls made my knees ache.I later added the 3 inch kury kit to get my legs out of a 90 degree.I also went with chrome 10inch mini apes from a WG,along with WG cables to keep thing simple. After I put on the 05 WG tank and made the new mount, forcing me to use the 05 WG seat,it made a HUGE difference,I guess because of the seat angle.I can't imagine trying to ride without forwards.BTW I wear a 34" inseam.
