Im not sure of the 05 and below but 06+ WG's have 34* in the neck, 2* in the trees...36* rake total.

"I've added a Metzler tires, True Track, Ikon rear shocks and front springs so I get pretty decent handling. When I ride with my brother on his Sporty I'm working to keep up IF I try following his lines thru the corners. Have to set up and enter differently, likely due to the rake."
My friend on his new Road King runs away from me as well he should I would think. But he's been at it a long time too.

"Make sure you have the shocks on the appropriate setting for you."
done

"Tire pressure where it should be."
set to book specs but I've read something about that not being the best setting.

"Swingarm and wheel bearings in good shape."
front in good shape. don't know yet about rear or swingarm.

"Nice bike, by the way"
Thanks!

that's pretty much chopper territory so yeah I guess it's not going to ride like my old Super Glide did!

I think mine handles pretty well in the corners. I went to the hill climb up by J&P Cycles over the weekend and the road we take to get there has some fun corners so I decided to see what the bike will do. Well I was going through corners and holding my half of the lane doing 90 mph and still gaining speed comming out of the corners.

At the Official H-D website it lists the WG as 34 degrees and the SG at 29 degress for 2010 models.

Metzlers were arguably the best upgrade I did. Tracks better and feels grippier.
Buddy of mine has Avons and he likes them too, better than the stock Dunlop.

I believe the pre-06 WG had 32* rake, maybe(??) some in the trees too. Same as the old Lowrider.

I found out that if your rear is too stiff the handling won't balance either. It will keep unweighting the rear tire on every little bump.

With Metzeler ME880's and Heavy Duty shocks I love mine in the twisties. I ride 2up a lot and it has always felt damn good, my Low Rider was a tad better, but they are completely different bikes.

on my 05 i have 11inch prog in back and race tech springs in front my bike sits lower than a lowrider and i agree with guy who said mitz 880 tires make a big diff, they sure do, mine handles just fine i can go as fast as i want, i am past the shoulder to the asphalt stage, i see you have ape-s on how high are they if your over your shoulders you won`t feel like you have control

and when you lower the back end, without doing the front, you add mre rake and mess up your trail a bit, so it will handle heavier.

Could be those apes letting a bit too much flex happen. Also, on mine, I put a 90x90 front on it and fixed that in-corner-twitch. I believe you are talking about those tiny adjustments to keep it tracking true in the corners right?. Also, try the next heavier weight fork oil---jack
