Default Imagine my surprise...

when diagnosing a nagging, minor "missing" problem I decided to check the ignition module for loose connections. I pulled the module and discovered that the previous owner had installed a Dyna 2000 and never mentioned it! Trouble is, he also installed low-resistance wires and the instructions for the Dyna specifically say you must use wires with resistance in the 2,000-ohm/ft to 4,000-ohm/ft range. My wires register 90-ohms for the rear and 450-ohms for the front. Changing to new wires tomorrow which will hopefully solve the problem and get this sucker running jussssssst right. It's amazing what you discover when you poke around on used bikes! Glad I checked, too: I nearly bought a Dyna 2000 recently! Saved me the green of the purchase.

that's even better than finding a twenty in the pocket of a pair of clean pants isn't it.[sm=happybounce.gif][sm=happybounce.gif]
