Default Hello, I'm a new guy

I have been lurking for months and have decided to come out of the closet. I purchased a 2007 FXDC and just passed the riders edge course. Although I have not ridden in 25 years, I wanted to re-learn with good habits and start anew. My plan is to start slow, learn the bike and develop good riding habits. I admit I'm a little nervous from transitioning from the Buell Blast to the Superglide, but I just could not justify getting a smalller bike to get to the motorcycle that I originally intended to go with. If any one has any suggestions to help me be a better rider I would definitely appreciate them.

Oh, I have spent the last 28 years as a Paratrooper, Professional Firefighter/EMT, and Deputy Sheriff in Atlanta so I'm not thin skinned.

Thanks in advance

welcome from wisconsin and long live the super glide custom!!!!! the 07' is geared tall, so a windshield might make those long rides more enjoyable. your bike is a great platform to customize for any riding aplication.

Welcome from KCMO. Congratulations on the scoot, and passing the class. Keep the rubber side down, and enjoy all the fresh air.
