I had that problem and got the heal rests. They mount and give you about 1 inch extra width on the pegs so your knees will clear the a/f

I'm 5'5" and have the same issue. I just bought a Kuryakn extened brake pedal on ebay since I don't want to go back to mids. I'll post pics when I get it.

Stage I with small, round AC cover. Problem solved!

I had the same problem with my FXDWG, I recently added the SE Heavy Breather. That problem is no more.

I like my cleaner cover....keeps my leg away from the exhaust....i wonder if the heavy breather would be as comfortable to rest against?

Did you keep the stock cover though? The HD smooth round air cleaner cover gave me more leg room.
