That's today's project. Would think that a peckered mount would send vibes through the bike like crazy, and that's not a problem. Also when revving the engine while on the sidestand, it has some wiggle room, but nothing like it would take to contact the tank.

are the breather bolts centered in the backing plate? This is the only way I can see it hitting the tank unless like I said before, your manifold is not aligned to the engine correctly. I have about 1/2" between the top of the A/C and the tank. It is possible to loose about 1/4" of that if the backing plate was installed so the bolts don't line up in the center. Pull the air cleaner off and check the breather bolts. The should be nice and centered in the backing plate surrounding the bolts. Also you do have a fatbob tank which is bigger than mine, yet, I still doubt it should make contact as many own these RSD air cleaners on their fatbobs and wideglides with the bigger tank.

I don't think alignment is an issue, but I'll find out soon enough as I also seem to have afuel pump failing, need to take to the stealer as I have about 13 days of warranty left lol. Going to remove the a/c and pcv just so there is one less thing for them to beak about.
