Default I need a two-up seat on a budget

As the title says, I'm looking for a two-up seat so that I can take my wife on the bike sometimes. I'm trying to stay around $200 for the seat. I already ordered the peg mounts and another set of pegs and I plan on getting the Haulin *** backrest. We will only be riding in town and maybe up to 100 miles round trip in one ride. Definitely won't be touring so I'm looking for something lower profile. I was thinking the CVO Dyna seat but was told in another thread that my wife would hate it. I was also thinking the Badlander seat or finding a take off from a Superglide Custom or Low Rider. Any suggestions or comments about the seats I've already listed?

Don't think you're wife will like the FXDC stock seat either. My wife won't ride more than 30 minutes on it. She describes it as just painful. My plan is to go with a solo and two P pads. One for when she rides and one low profile for looks.

Bones.

I switched out my stock on my 05 wide glide for a Mustang Seat Vintage.
After looking up here and every other forum, I was convinced by all the praises that the Mustang is the only way to go.
I talked to Mustang and sales rep suggested the Vintage model.
They also have an extra wide in this model if the broadest area on you spans across Oklahoma.
I am ecstatic about the comfort.
I got mine on Ebay for $234.

I have a take 2up from a 09 FXDC. Like the other posters said it is not good for touring that is why I got a new seat. The custom seat is OK around town and short trips. If you want something for longer trips you'll need a custom seat. If you are interested in the stock seat I have give me a PM. Bryan

Buy what YOUR wife will like! These things are easily swapped, so you can afford to have a seat you like when your struttin your stuff, but get one your wife is comfortable on when she comes along.

And don't assume that because you are comfortable on your current seat that all she needs is the same. Your backside is above the swingarm axle, hers will be right over the wheel axle, so you each get a different riding experience.

If you want your wife to enjoy riding with you, spend the money on a Mustang...If you want her to stay off your bike...Buy a seat on a budget.

Wise words. Also apply if seeking to lure a GF out on the back!

Make sure she is comfy, when my girl is happy she makes me happy. My girl loves the sundowner, its an ugly seat but its easy to swap back to the solo.

its been said already, but its worth repeating. when riding 2-up with the stock fxdc seat we had to stop after 30 miles due to my wife being in pain.

the seat is fine for 1 up riding, and pretty much useless for 2.
