Chopped tour trunk arrived today

I got mine off of ebay, probably a lot cheaper then poor Rene got with shipping. I don't remember the ebay vendor I got it from, but here's a start.

This looks like the price and the set up I got. I have mine set up on a detachable solo rack. Love it for camping or bring the bigger things to work.

Found this Chopped Tour Trunk at EBay (autopart2000), item 220608250094.
Click the thumbnails to enlarge the image!
Started this morning by covering the rear fender to protect it from scratching and layed out the mounting brackets:
Next I put on the mounting plate to find out which holes to use:
Now I adjusted the brackets to the right position...
....and covered them with tape where they hit the chrome bars of the detach solo rack:
Took off the solo rack, flipped it over and attached the brackets and plate to the rack:
Here's a close up; the nuts that came with this kit are metric (14 mm):
Put the solo rack on the bike again:
and mounted the Tour Trunk to the mounting plate:
and this is how it looks:

Thanks, Johan.
Had a short test ride this afternoon. Found out that the (empty) trunk passes on some vibrations at low speed; backrest felt good at cruising speed (110kph = 70 mph) though!
