After going through several half helmets, I have gone back to a 3/4 all the time. It's quieter than having nothing on my ears, and oddly quieter than my full face too. It blocks drive train noise, but I can hear the exhaust note very well for shifting. The faceshield is nice too. I am using an HJC CL33. It's light and comfortable and it gives me great protection from the elements.

 

Just talked to jp cycles and they said there next shipment of helmets aren't showing up till early July.......dang

 

i went down to jp cycles about a month ago and tried on the bell 500, the one with the blood shot eyes on it. it was comfortable i really liked the stitching inside the helmet gave it a great vintage look to it. it fit real nice just looked a little silly on me cuz i have a small head and round face, i kinda regret not picking it up. i went a couple weeks ago and they didnt have it in my size anymore.

I just bought a HJC 3/4 with the flip down face shield for long trips. I got tired of taking a road trip and having every rock, bug, and piece of road crud hit me in the mouth. A rock busted my lip last month on the way to Dallas and I decided then to get a 3/4 w face shield for the big trips. However your helmet looks way friggin cooler than the one I bought!

 

Got an email from Motorcycle Superstore today - they have the Custom 500s in stock.

 

J and P just shipped out my speed soul 500 helmet on the 28th. They said the next batch will be in around mid august

 

Got a Fulmer 355 3/4 helmet. Excellent fit. Looks good. Paid $50 new. Very happy with it. Must find a dealer that sells them which is OK because you can't tell how they feel through a website.

 

I just picked up a $50 half helmet that looks like a replica but is actually DOT from my HD shop but its virgo brand (not hd).

I also have 2x 3/4 helmets - i was looking for the vintage look but they are so padded out it just looks like I am space man. I think I need to get a fuller - the easy rider one is sick...
