Default Lowering shocks on a budget for my dyna

Hey guys... besides getting the relocation kit for my rear shocks for my 1996 wide glide, what would be the cheapest way to go , as far as shocks, and where could I get them?? Thanks for the help.. I just want to lower the rear a little in order to make by bike look better..

Thanks,

J

If you're thinking about lowering blocks, be aware that the angle that it's going to put your shocks will make it awkward to use your bags.

How does it ride? I'm willing to put in the work for free lower shocks.

Don't buy the cheap shocks on e-bay. I already made that mistake and you won't be happy. My advice is save up and buy a good name brand. The only aftermarket shocks I have had is Progressive I lkiked them I think they made the ride better than stock even though they were an inch shorter.

IMHO the one area of our bikes we should spend money is the rear shocks! Doing anything on the cheap with them is likely to be a disappointment. The cheapest thing is to leave well alone until you can afford to buy some really good quality shorter shocks.

I can't tell any difference in the ride quality. I uped the preload one notch.
