My Fat Bob needs new exhaust...
I just purchased an '08 FXDF Fat Bob. I love the bike, and feel like all the components fit me like a glove. The only thing I don't like is the sound of the exhaust. I wish to have a little more throaty sound.
I would like a little more throaty sound, without blowing the windows out in my neighborhood, as I leave for work sometimes at 4am. I was thinking of the V&H Big Radius, and was curious as to any other users of the Big Radius. Obviously, I'd rather be heard to other traffic, rather than worry about my neighbor's sleeping habits, however if it's not too loud on start-up, I'm going to go with the Big Radius.
Please let me know if you have the Big Radius, and if you've received noise complaints, and how to handle them in the early AM. I'm in the military, so early mornings are a common occurance, however, I'd like to not get killed by the neighbors.
Let me know what you think. I'm open to any exhaust options...

I have a 2008 FXDF and went with Rush slipons at first then I put on a set of Black V&H Big Radius. I took out the baffles and put in a set of Big City Thunder QQ baffles, then I took the original baffles and cut them down so I could stack them in against the QQs. The sound is good but not too harsh but thats a to each his own kind of thing. Mike

I have the big radius 2into2 they aren't to loud unless you are really getting on it. I used to ride a Road King with a 95 kit and cams with a pro pie with no baffle and never woke up my neighbors at 2am when I got off work so you should be alright as long as you don't ride out of your neighborhood at 35 mph in 1st lol
