You shouldn't have ordered the 3 speed transmission.

the six speed is much better....see if they'll trade you out.

Ride someone else's bike and see if you feel the same with their ride. I don't shift into 6th until 70mph. My bike loves to run 75-80mph all day long, and buries the needle at 120 while still gaining momentum. I have a friend with a stock fat boy and he tops out around 105, I think you should be getting more.

Oh, dang, I should have read all the posts 1st, looks like the troll got me....

Hmmm, strange first post. Your new bike should have no problem cruising a complete fuel tank at 75-95 mph, tho that range is gonna be quite short at speeds above about 80mph since the mpg is gonna suck up high. Just make sure you are in 5th or better 6th up there.;

My rivets are loose too but so far no noise,it looks like a strobe light at night....not sure i want to fix it cause people get out of my way.....

When I first test rode a fat bob, it felt like a tractor at stand still. Didnt get chance to really open it up on the test ride, but I still bought one. After I've run it in, theres no problem running 80mph or quicker, and its really smooths out.

The only difference between my harley and my honda VFR750 at that speed is the wind noise. At 80 mph on the Harley, that feels quick enough, the Honda is ready for much more in relative silence. Its when you get to the corners the Honda really out does the Harley, but then it does lack character.

I think 75mph is about what a 125cc bike can do. Even my little old 100cc Honda can manage 65 and feel ok.
