Only issue I have with buzzing is my headlight. The rivets have come loose so at certain RRM ranges it makes horrible sounds! Took me a little bit to figure out it was the headlight rivets. Other then that my fxdc is fine. The engine definitely vibrates more above 75 but isn't anything that feels "off"

Wind it up and see what happens. Doesn't sound right based on your description. Just because people are passing you doesn't mean that's as fast as she'll go. Again, Wick-it and see...

Either you have a problem with your perception of what the engine should sound like at 75mph or your not in 6th gear (mine sounds fine at 75mph in 5th gear), or your bike has a problem. Get a second opinion from someone experienced riding your type of bike.

My 08 super glide is just in its sweet spot @ 75mph in 6th gear, feels smooth with lots of roll on power, even two-up. @ 110mph it will still accelerate when I roll on more throttle. Somethin ain't right with your scoot or your perception of it.

Something is obviously not right. Even stock bike, should perform way better than what you are indicating.

My 06 FXDBI is exactly the same. Don't be insulted but, are you sure there's not another gear hiding there somewhere?

As an 09 it's still under warranty. Take it in, explain the situation and ask to have a tech ride it at 75 (assuming you have expressways where that's close to legal). Let them tell you.

Are you coming off a metric by any chance? Harleys and metrics sound nothing alike - you may need to adapt. Maybe you can find someone with a shovel who'll let you take it for a ride. After that you won't hear a SOUND or feel even a tiny vibration from your 09.
