You will really have to mock it up and see. I went from 6" to 9" risers and only had to change the clutch cable. But I had extra slack in the wiring, brake and throttle cables to work with. It really depends on the type of handlebars you are using also.

I tried 4" risers on my '07 SB and they just fit without any cable changes. I went back to the stock risers, though. The 4" risers were actually only 3 1/2" measured to where the bottom of the handlebar would sit.

The stock '07 SB has a 1 1/2" riser stock. The 4" risers I bought actually only raised the bars 3 1/2" , I guess the manufacturer was measuring to the top of the handlebar clamp. There were no cable issues but the steel tube part of the brake line
had to be straightened just a tad. Basically, you're good for a 2" lift on the bars without any other issues.

I have the curved risers on my FXDC with the stock cables. No problems.
