Default Rear fender mocked up

I got my rear fender ready to drill the holes I just have to move it up a 1/2" so the seat bolt lines up, so what do you think

'Up' forward or vertically ...? If vertical, should look pretty good ....

Only other comment I might offer is that the lower forward edge of the fender seems to visually form something of a shallow 'Vee' shape (due I suppose to the fact it was designed to clearance the softail 'swingarm') ... I would recommend cutting across that line horizontally (or in a line with the bottom of your battery tray) and rounding the rear edge to curve gently upward ....

Compare it to the inner rear lines of your original fender ....

What's your end game WRT finish ... are you painting all your tins or just the fender to match the rest of your bike ...?

Keep us posted ... looks great!

BTW - what is the source of the fender ... Softail Heritage/Deluxe ...?

Nice looking fender, I agree with R/chop... radius or reshape the front fender line just ahead of the shock to get a cleaner look. The Troll
