Default Why would you want your clutch as a lever?

Saw some dude riding yesterday and looked like his clutch was a lever behind his seat.....why would anyone want that crap? He had to drive with 1` hand much of the time

What you saw was most likely his shifter, with the clutch being changed over to a foot clutch. Some guys like the look of them, others like it because it's "old school". I know some people who like it because it severely limits the amount of people who can ride your bike.

You've never heard of a suicide shifter? There's probably a reason it came to be named that lol

Riding with 1 hand, that's why they call it a suicide shifter. It's just an old school thing. Personally, I don't care for it but it's not my bike.

Had one years ago, loved it, nothing to it once you learn it.

I saw a bike in a mag that had a left hand throttle and right hand clutch, talk about not wanting anybody to ever ride your bike. I'll stick to the standard style and keep it safe.

Guy next to where I work took a Dyna, made a hard-tail out of it, welded/built his own suicide clutch/shifter that mounts on the left side of the bike down by his left knee. He has to take off and shift with only his right hand on the drag bars. I think it looks damn cool and I'm sure it's damn hard to ride. This guy is an "old school" biker.
