How to spend $1600?
I've got $1600 to spend on my bike, and I'm looking for ideas. I know for a fact I'm gonna get apes from www.hillcountrycustomcycles.com, just can't decide between 14" or 16". I'd also like to get some type of turn signal mirror. I'd like to go with round and black powder coat, any suggestions?
I figure that leaves me $1000 for other stuff, and yes I already have Stage 1, and exhaust. So give me ideas what should I buy?
No pics of the bike until I decide what to buy. I don't want to influence you. I will tell you it's an '08 FXDB in Crimson Red Denim. I ride solo only and am more than willing to tour on it. I will NOT put a windshield on it. I have no performance mods other than the Stage 1. I'm in Korea and will be doing all work myself.

those hill country kits are nice but ur money goes alot farther putting it together yourself, if you go with 14" you wont have to extend wiring and could reroute all cables to work! that said 14" was not enough for me, I had factory then 14" and now 16". you could do alot with 1600,
as far as performance, cams (I am doing andrrews 54h 350), andrews 30t pulley (lowers the drive ratio 200), head work(big boyz 299 street port) and all kinds of other things.
looks could be a seat, more comfortable and better looking, lower it, upgrade susp, powder coat, 21" front, laydown license plate(hogrida), tank lift(jackel) and all kinds of other things.
If it were me and this is what I did I bought a 6 pack of my favorite wheat beer and sat down in the garage talkin to "betty" and we ended up where we are today.....6 seats, 3 sets of exhaust, 2 intakes, 2 rear fenders, 2 sets of bars, 2 sets cables, 2 sets of risers, lotsa powder coat, grips, pegs, lowered progressive shocks and forks, waiting to install cams, get head work and do the power pulley, and new paint in the works again......we really don't know what we want lol......but do we ever?

the apes and the mirrors you speak of will probably total more than 6 hundred. - someone on here has the round mirror with a turn signal in it, looks sick!!... but i believe they costs over 3 hundred alone. ( can't seem to find them)
besides that, you will want the 16"s if you want apes.
Seeing how you like to take longer rides, maybe the other investment is in detachable sissy bar and or bags.
