Guys the clutch is most likely dragging because the oil in the primary is cold.......when it warms it stops dragging. If you don't like it use Redline MTL which has a cold pour point similar to 5w30 motor oil and a GL4 lube rating. You won't get the first downshift "bang" when cold either. My $.02.

KBFXDLI,

I think i'm gonna give the redline products a try. There is no dealers in my area so I was courious, What is the best online source for their products? Well one other thing to note is that my service manager also stated that he is not too familar with the Redline brands of oil but stated that he knows alot of guys who use the Royal Purple which he stated really smooths out the H-D trannys.

I get a slight 'pull' with a cold start in first as well. Minor, and never worried about it. Probably never will.
