New bars/grips on the 10 Wide Glide
I was shopping for some new bars but wanted something different. I came across this guy John on ebay that has a store called Blackend Fabrication. I figured what the hell why not contact this guy and see if he could build me something totally unique. Sent him a message and he was happy to help me out. I asked for a 4-1/2" riser, whiskey bar shape and ball milling. A few days later the bars came from fedex! Great quality work done by John, gotta give em mad props.
I coated them black and installed them the next day. WHICH REMINDS ME. Big thanks to SC-LONGHAIR for putting up the video of how to get the wire connectors disassembled, I was pulling out my hair trying to figure it out on my own. That video saved me from breaking a lot of stuff out of frustration.
The bars sit me just right on the bike, not too short, just perfect for my arms. Handling is really much more positive, quicker it seems...The grips are HD Silencers. Next on the list is a good lowering in the back and changing the front signals. Im going to try to modify the stock mirrors with LEDs for signals...
Here're some pics.

Damn dude, I might have to copy you
I've been trying to find the right bars for a while now. How much different are they, position wise, than the stock bars?
Be careful lowering it. I've got 1" lowering blocks on mine and it looks ****ing awesome but even after all the reading I did of people saying they never bottom out, I seem to bottom out easily even with the shocks on the stiffest setting. I knocked a nick out of the front side of the fender from it hitting the passenger peg mount. Maybe I just ride it harder than the people who don't bottom out lol
I'm 245 lbs but I know I saw a post from one guy saying even with him and his ole lady on back he hadn't bottomed or rubbed so who knows.

The positon feels close to the same, the bars put the controls a little lower and they are a little more narrow but the reach is still about the same, Ive got long arms so it feels just right someone with shorter arms may find it uncomfortable..

those bars are awesome.... to me the bike would look better with some mini mirrors and black levers. I'm partial to ness mini ovals...hence the reason I own them. Also love these signals: http://www.customdynamics.com/wrap_a...ork_clamps.htm
