Default Fat Bob stock seat..absorbs water like a sponge

mesh top soaks up water and stores it in the foam underneath....right above the power commander and electronics. Not a great design.

I agree, mesh on the seat isn't a fantastic design. Have you tried some waterproofing spray between washes? I think that would help a great deal.

From experience, take the seat off before you wash the bike. It's only 1 scew.

yikes, I haven't noticed mine soaking up the rain... that is kinda scary with all the stuff under there.

i usually hop on and ride right after I spray it down and don't have any problems

I usually spray and soap up my seat when washing it. It is a bit damp when I ride but dries quickly. I have never had mine stay damp for anything more than an hour or so....
