I'm new to the forum too, can't see the pics.

But what the hell, I'm gonna go with the majority: nice work!

Dreamer65. If you know anybody with a torch and hand grinder you can make some for alot less than 40 =) It really was pretty easy and I hadn't used a torch or any welding type equipment since high school (almost 20 years ago... and I got a D and I was able to do it!!

Ha ha - brilliant! Anyone on here who follows my posts knows I love this kinda stuff. Making your own bits like this truly customises your bike into something that no one else has. Well done TLT - crackin' job (and an idea I'm going to unashamedly pinch by the way )

Real nice job! Would love to see a side view close up of the bracket. I'm trying to do somewhat the same thing when I find a piece of aluminum stock.

Ther ain't a single part in the whole JP Cycles catalog that looks better on your bike than a part you make with your own hands.

Here is a close up. You can see the "imperfections" on the bend and the bottom slot, but that is how I can prove I made them I guess !! I painted them with some high temp bbq paint. Also painted other stuff with same paint, seems to work pretty good.

Great pic-- thanks! I like the slot on the bottom hole.
Added bonus: if you park your bike too close to the gas grill, you know the brackets are safe!
