I've got the X-11 as well and it's my favorite helmet that I've ever owned, better than my Arai RX7-III and IV. It's quiet for a helmet that has so many vents and those vents flow a ton of air.

About 25% of responses to my posts have to do with the avatar, maybe I should post more...or get rid of the avatar. I think I'll keep my posting regularity the same and leave the avatar so I get some notice. lol

Ha ha ha...Your avatar stops me EVERY TIME I'm readying a thread. Often, I have to go back up to remind me what the topic was. It's that good.

I wonder who she is, what song she's listening to, how does that shirt look from eye level, what is she saying, and if she forgot her belt in the morning. Of course, I suffer from Yellow Fever so....that plays into it too.

So ya, my favorite 2010 moco factory color is Denim bla....damn, wrong thread.

Ok...FF helmets. Back on track.

I hear a few guys started with FF's based on sportbike riding. I started with a half. I then bought a 3/4......I had my FF in the closet and was dreading trying it out. I was afraid I'd really dislike it and feel stupid for paying $285 on a helmet I would never wear (or would have to sell on eBay as used). I've worn the 3/4 once since. :-)

I love havin that bitch between my legs. Wind or no wind, loud or quiet.

but... full face, earplugs, and drivers backrest together make me feel like I could ride forever...and when night falls....add gloves and a fat jacket and I'm in my own world. Like a cocoon lol. Feels awesome.

I love the freedom, but also love the protected feeling.

sort of like one of those new thin condoms

Lost my inner ear on the left side to Meniers Disease about 6 years ago. I can only hear out of my right ear. When hearing out of one side only it's difficult sometimes. Wind noise bothers me tremendously but I still like wearing my half helmet. I always wear earplugs though. Since I only have the Fat Bob now I'm thinking of returning to the FF. I'm only comfortable with a windshield now. With the lunatic drivers out there I think the FF is the better choice. I have a HD modular for trips but will probably be using it more now. It's not that quiet though.

Regarding visibility, i have MORE peripheral vision in my ff than i do wearing a 1/2 or 3/4 with goggles or padded glasses.

To each their own, for me, i'll wear the ff more often than not.

Wow. I didnt know there were that many full facers out there. I have tried riding with out a helmet a couple times around the block. Its nice under 25 mph, but any time I am getting outside the neighborhood the FF goes on. I am not sure that I have ever seen anyone else wearing a FF on a harley though.
