K I will check out the website samsonusa but do your pipes have heat shields on them? I have heard they come with and that they do not...

I know we e-mailed but I have the same pipes on my SB and I love them. Great sound, great looks, and I'm impressed with the performance. And yes they come with heat shields.

K went to samson usa and found the pipes with the heat shields! I am ordering them! I have to wait until my husband gets home from work (4 weeks) so I will order them before he comes home, if I do it now I will attempt to put them on and that never bodes well for me!

6 bolts off, 6 bolts on.

plus the clamps to attach the heat shields to the pipes.

it literally couldn't be an easier job.

Yeah you are talking to the girl that didn't put a new gasket on her new derby cover and it took me 3 hours to put on my a/c. Not meant for the dirty work!!!! I also need to order my tuner from fuelmoto.

PCBun-
Those pipes look great on your bike. The shorties really help the flow and fit the style. How loud are they compared to other pipes?

I found the install to be pretty easy but takes a little persistance getting the snap rings over the pipe flange and its very important that you have a low range (0 to 180) in-lb/nm torque wrench so you don't risk breaking a head bolt. I also think its important to install, torque, drive 60-75 miles, cool and retorque. I also installed a set of jam nuts so those little suckers don't ever come loose. Good luck, you'll love the results. Personally I think they are pretty loud but I hang out on Sun's at a little hide away above Santa Barbara where mostly only Harley's dare stop. So compared to all the other different brand pipes it's a little hard to tell, but everyone is definitely gonna know when I get there!
