I have a '93 FXDWG that has the petcock in the middle of the tank, I would love to put in a tank lift but I'm concern about the petcock and how much would it affect the gas reserve?

Anyway to deal with this?

I have the same petcock placement on my gas tank. I don't have a tank lift though, so I really can't answer your question. I'd definately think though that the tank lift would effect how much usuable fuel you'd have in your tank. You could always swap gas tanks to one that has the more rearward placed petcock if you want the tank lift bad enough.

 

You may lose .5 gal or so. I'm totally guessing at that.

 

why raise your tank wideglides are made to be sleek if you had a bobber i would understand, but its your canvass, and it will effect your pick-up my friend had one, and took it off immediatly after 2 or 3 rides he said it wasen`t the gas so much as the wind buffering played havok
