Its welded in, youd have to cut it out and replace it with a section of pipe. If you cut it close to where the head and rear pipes merge together (weld seam) U will miss the converter and should be able to weld it back together easily if needed. The DMV in my area is pretty lax they dont even require cats yet on bikes, but im sure sooner or later they will. I cut mine up just to see what was inside of it!

 

Nice lookin chop. I love the Smokeout. Hate that I'm going to miss it this year. Same day it starts, I'll be on a plane to Jamaica with my family. I'd much rather go to the SO. It's only 40min away from me in Rockingham, NC.

Why go thru all the work just pickup a non cat head pipe from a older Fat Bob on Ebay or in the classified section.....
