Cool What do you do with your helmet???

I am totally new to the cruiser world and traded my CBR1000RR for a flamed Wide Glide. It wasn't until I took the bike to a friend's house that I realized I had no place to lock my full-face helmet . The sport bikes always had a place to put it.

I googled it and apparently Harley makes a universal helmet lock, but it says you have to take it off when you ride the bike. Sounds like a real PITA to me, but I don't want my helmet to get swiped when I walk into a store.

What do you experienced guys do with your helemt when you go somewhere? Does anyone know if the Harley lock is worth picking up?

I added a HD universal helmet lock to my handlebars. Not pretty, but it works.

There are some locks you can put on your crash bars, and some go on swing arm,I think you read that wrong, you don't have to remove the lock part,Me I put mine on my peg, in OR. and no helmet in AZ..but I have a 30 buck helmet..

I post mine on the high side mirror and hers on the brake pad. She keep trying to set it over the sissy, but the helmet just don't like sitting there... lol.

like they say locks are only for honest people, I tried all the above but you move your mirrors they fall off the pegs etc best place I found is over the light with visor down helmets sits there perfectly (shoei size M full face - not cool but safe), as I have the 2010 FXDWG as well this might be an option for you.

Cool thing about this is as it covers the light a lot of people dont even see it sitting there so they are not tempted (hidden in plain sight)

The few times I've had to wear a helmet I just hung it on the high side grip.
