Default Has anyone modified HD Saddlebags to quicker release?

I have the HD saddlebags that bolt on to the bike through the quick release docking hardware for my sissy bar. I was thinking of mounting longer bolts from the inside of the fender out and putting a thin nut on to hold the sissybar docking bobbins in place. This would allow me to slide the saddlebags on to the end of the threaded bolts and two locking nuts inside the saddlebags. Not quick release but at least they can be removed without having to remove the docking bobbins each time. I could then put a nice dome nut on the end of the bolts for when the saddlebags are removed. Or is there a better solution other than fitting easy type brackets? I suppose I could even use some form of wing nuts inside the saddlebags. Anyone got any picture alternatives??

I know the SG hard bags mount a bit differently w/the quick pin, but I changed mine to 5/16" universal clevis pins b/c of reading where other bagger owners lost a bag on the road (not pretty). Might want to take a trip to the local HW store to see what pin & washers will work...Cheers!

If you would only use the bags and sissy bar together, you could mount the bags to the sissy bar side plates.
