mechanically inclined people?
so i have v&h short shots i took out the baffles and on deceleration she pops which (i like it) is because she is running rich and unburned fuel is igniting in the exhaust pipe. so why would changing the intake make it run lean? does it make that much of a difference? is the hd fuel management open loop or closed looped? i'm assuming it's an open loop. also, i know that for sportbikes companies have on the fly real time mapping it would be nice if they had that for harleys. just wondering has anyone dyno'd with no fuel management to see what kinds of a/f mixtures are with a stage 1?
ok lots of questions thanks for any insight...

Changing the intake to a more free flowing setup, theoretically will lean out your AFR. However the Delphi ECM is a closed loop system (open loop during warm up, and at full throttle). The ECM has a map that covers the range of manifold pressure, rpm and throttle position. To meet EPA constrictions, the bikes AFR are set on the lean side.
The TTS I have allows me to select the AFR during throttle closed deceleration.
