I have been riding for 60 years now and have had over 70 bikes of nine different makes.

With H-D's I have owned 23 of them with 19 still out in the garage. I ride from 30 to over 40K a year on them. All of the families of H-D's from a Street 750 to a trike are represented in the group along with CVO's and a couple with 120 conversions.

In my personal experience with all the bikes and my opinion with all factors involved with bike performance of braking, cornering, mpg, acceleration, overall ride feel, purchase price, resale and appearance the best motorcycle that H-D has offered is the Sportster models XR1200 and the XL1200T.

But then that is just my opinion and I know nothing. Just ask my wife.

If I was on my 16 Road Glide CVO Ultra and someone said "Nice Sportster" I would thank them for the compliment.

Long live Sportsters!

Understandable, as both were designed to be pretty much the same thing, fast, maneuverable and fun.

You are my F#^(ING hero. Where. You go for a 143 CI swap, hit me up for one of those 120R's lmao. I have looked at the XR1200, looks like a sweet bike. I was even thinking of getting a race spec one of these days.

Keep um' between the ditches :-)

This fairy tale is really getting monotonous.

I was asked about a week ago, 'what year Sportster is that? I have one at home too'.

I just said that it was a Dyna and walked away smiling. I love sportster so I didn't take it as an insult.

greg: These are my collection from 2 years ago. Have not had the weather yet to group the current herd.

Enjoy the fairy tale son.

There are three more that I haven't any photo's of yet. One is a new 15 Fat Bob that the dealer delivered and we put it in the back. I forgot it was there so it hasn't been ridden yet. When I dug it out I did the 12 heat cycles and will get the 1K on it this spring. How's that for a fairy tale? The second one is the XL1200T and the final one is a 89 FXRS. You should stop by and check them out. I won't even charge you an admission fee.
