I just ask them if they know what side of the bike the belt (or chain) drive is. If they don't know they realize don't know s**t.

 

Don't really care what anyone else thinks but it happened to me once. When I traded my 2007 Police Electra Glide for my 2012 Fat Bob an idiot I work with says "I can't believe you traded your Road King for a Sportster" It was obvious he didn't know what he was talking about so I left it at that.

 

Most idiots only know the names of two Harleys.........Electra Glide and Sportster. If they see it doesn't have bags and a fairing, they think it's a Sportster.

 

I just smile and say thank you. They mean well. If they DON'T mean well then I don't care what they think.

 

Just tell'em it's a sportster on steroids.

Happens to me all the time. I just smile knowingly and carry on.

 

1st post here, Been reading awhile.. All Harleys have that distinctive potato/pop/potato sound.. when its not running I tell the girls it is whatever you want it to be. If the guys Ask, I nod and chuckle thinking that they are missing out. I dont really want those people with any bike on the road.

 

The Dyna line just gets looked over by most who don't know Harley's.

 

To the one's that are critical of us that are making Dynabaggers, I got asked tonite if my bike was a Streetglide! lol
