RE: A harley owner asked me what size sportster is that?
Actually I think the Sportster the Triumph Bonnie and the Norton Commando are the best looking bikes ever built. Not sure why I got a Dyna instead maybe I'm tired of sensible mid sized standards or maybe it's just that color. If the 1200R came out in "black Denim" I probably would have bought it.I'm still trying to talk my wife into a Sportster or a Bonnie but she's having a blast riding my old SV.

**** happens.
I like my speedomeat on the bars.
Don't have ta look down so far to see the speedo/indickher lites.
And I think the lo profile console on the Supers is much better lookin
than the hi profile double capped OtherGlides.
I used a modified SportSter speedo bracket to mount my inch and a quarter WideGlide bars.
The WG bars dwarf the puny bob bars.

Old mud = old mud.
Wish I could change out some parts.
Can't see, hands don't work.
The laced wheels were swapped on about a month ago.
More SportSterish.

I was riding my 2006 superglide today. A truck with a harley decal in the window pulls up. The driver engages in some small talk. Then he asks me if that was a 1200 Sportster, I was riding. I told it it was a full growm big twin !!!! Anybody else get this happening??

Not a bad problem to have in my opinion. I would rather ride a '72 sportster that sweats oil than a brand new V-star 650. Nothing against the Yamarhammer, but I wouldn't be happy with it and never will be. Take it in stride and move on. You think you have it bad now, wait til someone says "hey, thats a sweet shadow." Then you will really be pissed.

That's probaly the only thing Harley he had was a sticker...LOL... There was a sticker out once that said.." I own more than just this Harley Sticker"... I guess it's cool to ride around with a Harley Sticker... To be a Biker you have to own a Bike...Gzzzzz.... I'm sure I'll get comments about that statement...LOL[sm=biker2.gif]

041550LowRider... That color is cool.. as far as the other stuff goes.. They're fools tryin' to look cool... Frig..them just enjoy your ride... I mentioned in another post that I had a Triumph Trident that color green...loved the bike.. hated that color on it.. but, looks good on your bike... One more thing about the do-rag and dress-up crowd.. each group has their own... how about Johnny road racer crotch rocket hero... dressing up with full racing leathers, boots, gloves to go up and down main street scaring the crap out the family in the mini van.. So both sides have their clowns... Hopefully they'll go away when biking isn't cool anymore... We can only hope so anyway...Later Skee

I had the opposite thing happen to me a couple of years ago. I had an 883 Custom at the time and a guy in a pick-up truck pulled up next to me at a light and said "Duh hey, nice bike, iz zat a Deuce??" [sm=lame.gif] I think he was trying to impress me with his Harley knowledge, yeah right! [sm=loser.gif]
