ORIGINAL: Bobber Rider
that wrinkle black derby cover is a stock night-train cover.
have the same one on my bike.
p.s. just rode 50 miles on my previous '04 XLC 883 after 3500 miles i have now on my Bob, and i just couldn't believe i ever had a sporty.
the sportster feels so small and tiny compared to the Bob. felt like there was no bike under me. yuk.

I can see that happening, if you just take a fast glance at a Dyna, it does have similar lines to a Sporty. Especially the pipes and rear fender/fender brace. I think a Sportster is a great looking bike so I take that as a compliment. No big deal, lots of people don't know the difference. I think the Dyna is the best bike Harley ever put out.

RE: A harley owner asked me what size sportster is that?
Sorry Guys,
It's all my fault!!!!! I have an 06 Superglide, and when folks ask me what it is I usually tell them it's a big Sportster, then they usually look at the bike a little closer, and tell me it ain't no Sportster.
Then there are those that would ask someone with a Soft tail Deluxe if it was a Sportster.
It's kinda hard to be insulted when somebody walks up, tells you how nice your ride is, and then ask if it's a Sportster.
It never hurt my feelings years ago when folks looked at my Magna V30, and said "nice Harley" (I just smiled).
I certainly am not insulted that it resembles a Sporty, though. That is exactly why I bought a Superglide, because I liked the looks of a Sportster, but didn't want to get beat to death, and have a sore butt, on those long rides.
Everybody talked me out of buying a Sportster; told me the truth, I would be tired of it in 6 months and trade it in on a Superglide.
There really is a lot to like about the looks of a Sportster. There is a lot more to like about the ride of a Dyna.
