Yep, a Sporty on Steroids! I consider it a compliment, regardless of how clueless the person might be. Anyone who knows diddly about Harleys knows that the Sportster has long been one of the toughest, bare knuckled Harleys around.

Love sportys, so much so had (yes, HAD) to get a used '02 last December to keep the bobstah company in the garage over the long winter! LOL! Certainly no slight for a Dyna to be mistaken for a Sportster. Now if someone asked if it was a Yamaha, I might take offense!

I have both a Sportster and a Street Bob. The Sporty has the 4.4 gallon tank on it and I have had just as many people ask me if it is a Dyna as I have had question what the Street Bob is. I really don't give a hoot when they ask about either because normally the next thing they say is "Man, that's a nice bike". I just smile and say Thanks.

Yeh, but it does hurt the pride just a little, if they ask you if it's an 883

LOLOL...well, I suppose better an 883 than if it's a Cushman.

On the other hand, if I tell 'em that it's an 883 and they want to wager something a short race, welllllll, who am I to correct 'em?
